Bio: Before I was born, my parents attended Grace and lived in Chico . It was at Grace that Mom and Dad began to grow in their relationship with God, from which they later passed to me a love for God and his Word. I grew up near Placerville, Cal. , and trusted Christ as my Savior at a young age. However, from the middle of my high school years through the middle of my sophmore year of college, I was living selfishly and wasn 't following God. I came to a place where I was miserable and began seeking to know and follow God again. In January of 1983, I recommitted my life to Christ and have followed him since.
I met my wife Brenda about two years later, at a point in our lives where we were both growing in our faith. We married in August of 1986. A year later, we joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ, serving in Campus ministry for 4 years, followed by administrative ministry for 2 years. Since then, I served as an Associate Pastor at Burley Bible Church in Burley, Wash. for 6 years, and as a Senior Pastor in Tacoma, Wash. for 6 years. Brenda and I have 4 great kids, and are glad to be part of the ministry team at Grace!

You Would Never Think: I play the banjo! I took 3 years of lessons beginning when I was 12. My brothers play mandolin, fiddle, and guitar, and my dad also plays guitar. Growing up, we had a lot of family jam sessions.

Favorite books, CD 's, movies: Book - "The Pursuit of God" by A.W. Tozer; CD - lately I've discovered Bella Fleck & the Flecktones - Jazz banjo... pretty cool! Movies - "Man from Snowy River"

Hobbies: Golf, water skiing, camping w/ my family, fishing, and home remodeling (necessity, not a hobby!?)

Favorite Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:2 "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to reliable men, who will be qualified to teach others also."
