Local Resources for Employment

The following information was provided by Ken MacKell, Grace Member and Program Manager for CalWORKs Elegibility:

The Community Employment Centers located in Chico (2445 Carmichael Drive) and Oroville (78 Table Mountain Blvd.), have many services available for the job seeker. Here is a list of some the available services and they are all free!
· Help with resumes and cover letters
· Resumes printed on resume paper
· Mail out resumes to employers
· Job search classes
· Computers for job search use
· Access to job opening lists
· Typing tests and certification

The agencies in the building include:
· CalWORKs
· Private Industry council
· Butte College
· Health Department
